Shutdown the control
Your MachMotion CNC control is a computer that needs to be shutdown properly to prevent corrupting open files. We provide a shutdown button that properly closes the MachMotion software, and then runs the built-in Windows shutdown command. We recommend shutting the controller down regularly. Weekly would be good.
The only time we get backup files is during the shutdown and startup process. Those backup files can be very helpful when we are diagnosing problems.
Go to the Service tab, then the Maintenance tab at the top. In the lower right corner of that screen is the power icon 
to properly shutdown the control.
