Creating a Door in PL-Sync Module - BaseRow

Accessing PL-Sync Cloud Database - BaseRow

Go to https://mymachinedata.machmotion.com/  Go to "My Dashboard" in the top right.

If not already signed in use your Baserow email and password to login.

You will now see your available databases.

Click on the Plyco database.

A door is sent to the machine as a Work Order. The easiest way to make one is the WO Entry app (see below), which fills a work order in from a saved Model or from an old door in History. Models are made in the Model table (see Creating a Model below).

Sending a Work Order - WO Entry

The WO Entry app is the page used to send work orders to the machine. It writes a new row into the Work_Order table.

  1. Type the work order number into Work Order at the top of the page.
  2. Pick a door on the left. Choose a Model to start from a saved model, or search History to start from a door that has been cut before. This fills in every selector on the right.
  3. Check the door details on the right: Slab, Cutout 1-4, Latch, Deadbolt, Location, Material and Quantity. Change any of them for this work order only; the Model or History row is not changed.
  4. Press Submit. A message says the WO was sent, and the page clears for the next work order.

A work order can also be added straight into the Work_Order table, the same way as a model. Its Name is the work order number.

Creating a Model

The Model tab will be where you add new door models. Click on this tab to view it.

To start creating a new model click the "+" icon at the bottom of the list of models. This will create a new row in the Model table where you will be able to enter the data for your new model.

Shortcut For Which Columns are Required or Unique

Required - There must be a valid entry here for the door to be valid

Unique - This entry must be different from other entries in the same column

Column Name      Required        Unique
Name            X            X
Slab            X
Cutout1 - Cutout4

Latch

Deadbolt

Location            X
Material            X
Quantity

Name

The first thing to enter is the name of the new model. This name should be unique from all other model names. There should not be two models with the same name. Click on the block entry under Name and start typing to add the new name.

Slab, Cutout1-Cutout4, Latch, Deadbolt, Location and Material

For the Slab, Cutout1-Cutout4, Latch, Deadbolt, Location and Material the method for entering information is the same. Click on the empty box in the column and then hit the "+" icon inside of that box.

This will pull up a new window from which you will pick which option you want for your model. To add an option, hover over it and check the box on the far left. Then exit out of the new window when you have selected your option. Slab, Location and Material are all Required. The cutouts, Latch and Deadbolt are optional: leave them empty for a door that does not have them.

ONLY ADD ONE OPTION!! If you accidentally add more than one option for a column hover over the unwanted option and click the "x" to delete it.

Cutouts

A door can have up to four cutouts. Fill them in order: use Cutout1 for the first, Cutout2 for the second and so on. Each cutout is placed by its own columns in the Location you pick (Top_of_Door_to_Cutout1 and Cutout1_Y_Offset for Cutout1, and so on), so that Location must have them filled in for every cutout used. The machine will not cut cutouts that overlap each other.

Latch and Deadbolt

Both columns pick from the Lock table, so the same lock can be used as a latch on one door and a deadbolt on another. The latch is placed at the Location's Top_ofDoor_to_Lock and the deadbolt at its Top_of_Door_to_Deadbolt.

Quantity

How many doors to cut. This is optional; blank means 1. To enter this data just click on the empty box under Quantity and type in the desired number.

PL-Sync / Baserow To Machine

All of the data in Baserow is stored in the cloud. To load this data onto the machine, the operator will press Download Database on the Job Queue page. This will download a local copy of the data in Baserow onto the machine, allowing the machine to keep running even without internet. Press it again whenever work orders, models or any other table have been changed in Baserow.

To queue a door, type or scan the work order number on the Job Queue page. The door's Slab, Cutouts, Latch, Deadbolt, Location, Material and Quantity are looked up from the local copy. Press Add to Queue.

  • Door Drawing shows the door with every cutout and lock placed and dimensioned, to check before cutting.
  • Edit Selected Job changes a queued door for that job only, for example a different cutout or a different cutout size. Baserow is not changed.
  • Manual Job builds a door on the machine without a work order.

Flow of Baserow Data

  1. Work orders are sent from the WO Entry app into the Work_Order table, which is stored in the cloud.
  2. When "Download Database" is pressed on the control, a local copy of the Baserow database is saved onto the control.
  3. Adding work orders to the Queue will track which doors are going to be cut.
  4. When the operator presses "Cycle Start", the first door in the Queue is sent to the GCode Generator and a GCode file is created and run.
  5. When a door finishes, the machine writes a row to History. Once every door on a work order (its Quantity) has been cut, the work order is removed from the Queue and from the Work_Order table.
