Server Files

Server Communication

On start up and when Compile Scripts is called, the CSV and subroutine files are copied down from the server to the local location. This allows engineering to push changes to all machines at once, but eliminates the need for constant server communication. If the copy action fails, a warning will show on the control. Since the local files are still present, the control will be able to run on old settings. Sometimes server communication will not be re-established until the server is accessed through Windows File Explorer.

Window Cut-Outs

The individual windows are subroutines posted from SheetCAM by the engineering team. The post filename is CHI. The program will apply a G52 to the window center positions on the panel, so the subroutines are always written around zero.

Data Files

The server files have all of the run data for the control. Every program will have a model, a length, and a set of windows. The model and length combined will determine the quantity of windows and their center positions on the panel. Each window will have an ID which determines the subroutine to run.

The model file contains all of the information about feeds and speeds, cut depth, oscillation amount, etc.

These files are controlled by the engineers.
