Configure a MachLabs CNC Control

This procedure sets up a MachLabs CNC (Computer Numerical Control) control system.

1. Complete the physical hardware installation and wiring for the HMI computer (MachLabs CNC Controls)

2. Connect the motion controller (Motion Controllers) with 24VDC power, and the network connection with the HMI computer.

3. Power on the HMI computer and the motion controller.

4. Confirm both devices power up without errors. Windows should start on the computer, and the motion controller should show a power light. 

5. If you are using a computer you supplied, then run the “MachPro Package Installation” (Software | MachPro 26). This will install both the MachPro software and the correct plugin and utilities for your motion controller. 

6. Complete the motion controller configuration according to the documentation for that controller

7. Integrate the motion controller into MachPro (M31 doc, or compatible motion controller doc)
8. Follow the documentation specific to your machine type under the CNC Software folder

Result

You can now operate the CNC system effectively and safely.
