User Interface

Mach provides multiple methods of linking external operator panels to a CNC control. To modify any default options, use the User Interface tab.

Adding a New Device

Open the Mach4 software, select "Service" (A.) -> "Maintenance" (B.) -> "Interface Config" (C.).

When the MachMotion Interface config window opens, select the "User Interface" tab (D.).  Open the drop down menu and select the appropriate device (E.).  Click "Add" (F.), and then "Save" (G.).  The pendant will load with its default configuration.

On MachMotion 1000 series controls, this menu is available on the Settings tab by clicking the 'Configure' button.  Or through the menu system Configure -> Plugins -> MachMotion -> User Interface.

Software Operator Panel

For testing or just for a mobile operator panel, you can use the software operator panel. Add it by selecting Software Operator Panel.

You can make it enable or disable by using Ctrl + P if that's helpful.

IO Operator Panel

For jogging the machine from an input or output, you can use the IO Operator Panel.

The top two buttons are for defining if you want the entire operator panel to work as a continuous jog or an incremental jog. You can map those to signals to inputs so you can change that on the fly.

Select the axis you want to jog and then map a signal to it. For example, you can select the X axis to jog positive with Input 1 and Input 2. And you can select the C axis to jog to the same Input 1 and Input 2.
