Creating a Door in Baserow

Accessing BaseRow

Go to https://baserow.io/.  Go to "My Dashboard" in the top right.

Click on the ABH database.

Creating a Door

Make sure you are under the Model's tab in the ABH database. If not click on the Model's tab.

To start creating a new door click the "+" icon at the bottom of the list of models. This will create a new row in the model's table where you will be able to enter the data for your new door.

Shortcut For Which Columns are Required or Unique

Name

The first thing to enter is the name of the new model. This name should be unique from all other model names. There shouldn't be two models with the same name. Click on the block entry under Name and start typing to add the new name.

Barcode Name and Description

The next two data entries, Barcode Name and Description, are optional. The Barcode Name as of 8/21/2024 is not used but is there in  case it is needed in the future. Barcode Name ties a series of numbers to that Model's name. If you want to give your model a Barcode Name it should be unique from all other Barcode Names. Description is for a short sentence describing your model. Describe it in whatever way works best for you!!

Swing

For the Swing column, click the empty box and then on the drop down arrow and select the swing you want your model to be. This column is REQUIRED.

Swing, Panic, Location_Set, Hinge, Lock and Material

For the Slab, Panic, Location_Set, Hinge, Lock and Material the method for entering information is the same. Click on the empty box at the bottom of the column and then hit the "+" icon inside of that box. 

This will pull up a new window from which you will pick which option you want for your model. To add an option, hover over it and check the box on the far left. Then exit out of the new window when you have selected your option. Swing, Location_Set, Hinge, Lock and Material  are all Required. Panic is optional.

ONLY ADD ONE OPTION!! If you accidentally add more than one option for a column hover over the unwanted option and click the "x" to delete it.

Panic_CL

If you added a entry in the Panic column then you need to add a Panic_CL. This will be a non-negative number that is how far the panic device center line will be from the top of the door. To enter this data just click on the empty box under Panic_CL and type in the desired number.

Notes

This column is where you can add any extra info you want people to know about the model. It can be as long as you want (within reason)
