Infrastructure software requirements

The package manager needs specific versions of infrastructure software.
For example, it may require certain versions of .NET (Microsoft runtime library).

  1. If the control lacks these packages, the installer adds them automatically.
  2. During installation, a window may open with instructions to restart the computer.
Follow these instructions and restart the computer.
  3. After the restart, the new infrastructure software will load.
It then runs for all package manager operations.

When the package manager has finished installing, the menu will show the packages that are available for you to install.

If your MachPro was installed by MachLabs, then it should already be licensed. Reinstalling MachPro in the same folder will retain all of your configuration and license features.

If this is a fresh install of MachPro on this computer, then you will need to request a license for this particular computer - using the PCID.

  1. Open the MachPro software from the new icon on your screen image.png
  2. Pull down the Help menu and select About
  3. Click the Copy ID To Clipboard button.
  4. Return to the Orders section of your purchase, and follow the instructions there. You will need to paste the PCID into the registration, and then a license will be generated for you to download.

The file name is the PCID of your computer.
