Tool Assignments

  • Tool 100 is the secondary spindle.
  • Pockets 1-20 are for the primary spindle.

Setup Procedure

Setup the X and Y Offset for the Secondary Spindle.

  1. Calculate the distance between the Primary Spindle to the Secondary Spindle.
    1. Run M6 T1 and load a tool into the Primary Spindle.
    2. Jog the Primary Spindle to a reference location on the table that allows you to align the tool up.
    3. Zero X and Y.
    4. Jog the Secondary Spindle to exactly the same spot as above.
  2. Click on Tool Offsets on the bottom right of the screen.  Tool-Offsets.png
  3. Press the Show Tool Table button.
  4. Enter the current location of X and Y into the X Offset and Y Offset values accordingly.

  5. Press Quit
  6. To test the dual spindle setup, follow the procedure below
    1. Run M6 T1
    2. Jog the Primary Spindle to a reference location on the table that allows you to align the tool up.
    3. Zero X, Y, and Z.
    4. Run M6 T100
    5. Press Go to Part Zero
    6. The Secondary Spindle should line up perfectly with the same spot

Your dual spindles should now be setup!
