Leadshine Setup

Leadshine Drive CS3E-D1008 with Encoder

Programming

Using CS-M23480-S stepper motor attached to the drive the setup for it is simple. Once connecting the drive as shown in the schematic and confirming the wiring is correct. Move next to loading the drive parameter file in Mach4 through "Configure>Plugins>Rapidpath>Drives>Drive Parameters". Using load from file button find the file "Model_CS3E-D1008___ProductCode_0x00001200___Revision_0x00000000___F_W_v1_0-v1_0.drvprm" either in "C:\Mach4\DriveParameters\Stepper Drives\Leadshine" or on the server under "\\svr1\MachMotion\Production\Products\Drives-Stepper\Leadshine". Write this file of parameters to each drive and then cycle power. 

For different amperage-rated motors, the parameters Pr5.00 and Pr5.02 will need to be changed.

Note: After loading the parameters the e-stop parameter has been set so the error E5.70 will flash on the drive until the safety relay is engaged.

Programming

Using 90HS65DE053 stepper motor attached to the drive the setup for it is simple. Once connecting the drive as shown in the schematic and confirming the wiring is correct. Move next to loading the drive parameter file in Mach4 through "Configure>Plugins>Rapidpath>Drives>Drive Parameters". Using load from file button find the file "3.5 AMP.drvprm" either in "C:\Mach4\DriveParameters\Stepper Drives\Leadshine" or on the server under "\\svr1\MachMotion\Production\Products\Drives-Stepper\Leadshine". Write this file of parameters to each drive and then cycle power. 

For different amperage-rated motors, the parameters Pr5.00 and Pr5.02 will need to be changed.

Motor Encoder Counts

Currently on the motors used the counts for them are 10,000. This changes according to the manual by changing SW1 thru SW4. Manual says that the drive can pull specific motor information.
