Calculate Probing XY offsets

To compensate for tilt in a probe tool we can use X/Y tool offsets. For this to work, we must have an accurate and consistent spindle orient. This method will not work without an orient.

Begin with a circle of known diameter. Using a coaxial indicator or dial indicator, manually find the exact center of the circle. Zero the G54 offset here.

Load in your probe tool, orient and move to G54 0,0. Now, probe to find the center of the circle, be sure to turn off "Zero G54" in the probing options and use "Measure only".

After probing, you will have a difference from true center to probed center in the DROs. Enter these numbers in the probe tools X-Y offsets.
